The team from PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 secured first place in the folk song category at the 30th District-Level Youth Festival.
The 30th District-Level Youth Festival was organized on November 4th and 5th under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. The theme for this year’s festival was ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat’ (Drug-Free India), aimed at raising awareness among the youth about the adverse effects of substance abuse and inspiring them to adopt a healthy, positive, and drug-free lifestyle.
In this youth festival, young people aged 15 to 30 were invited to participate in various competitions. The event featured contests in folk singing, folk dance, street plays, poetry writing, and painting—all centered around the theme of de-addiction—through which participants conveyed the message of a drug-free society.
In the folk singing competition, the team from Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, Chhindwara, delivered an outstanding performance and secured first place. Shri Bunty Vivek Sahu, Member of Parliament for Chhindwara, who attended the event as the chief guest, encouraged the winning students by presenting them with awards.
The program was outlined and implemented under the guidance of the District Sports and Youth Welfare Officer, Mr. Krishna Kumar Chaurasia.
Through the ‘Yuva Utsav’ (Youth Festival), a message was conveyed to foster creativity, social awareness, and positive thinking among the youth. Following the success of the team from Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, the Principal, Mr. Hari Prasad Dharkar, extended his best wishes to the students and shared a positive message regarding de-addiction during the morning assembly.
